Our School

School 19 in Paterson, New Jersey is a public school building that was constructed in 1896. It is one of the oldest schools in Paterson and is part of the Paterson Public School District. 

History

• School 19 is located on James Street near Paterson Avenue 
• The school has been the subject of renovations, including the replacement of the retaining wall, fence, and parking lot 
• School 19 is one of five schools in Paterson that date back to the 19th century 

Renovations 

• In 2018, the school district renovated the exterior of School 19
• The renovation included replacing the retaining wall and fence, resurfacing the parking lot, and replacing the sidewalks
• The New Jersey School Development Authority funded the renovation project
